In Loving Memory

REBECCA (Becky) BISHOP
April 16, 1964 — June 26, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rebecca "Becky" Bishop, a beloved wife, mother, stepmother, and grandmother. Becky departed from this world on June 26, 2026, at IU Bloomington Hospital, surrounded by the love and comfort of her devoted husband, Robert Bishop Sr. She was 62 years old.
Born on April 16, 1964, in Indianapolis, Becky was a beacon of warmth and compassion to all who knew her. She was the kind of person whose presence brightened every room, and whose heart was always open to those she cherished.
Becky dedicated her life to her family, enriching their lives with her unwavering support and love. She was a proud and nurturing mother to her sons, Vernon Long and Chris Long, and she carried the memory of her late son, Craig Long, close to her heart. Her family expanded with the addition of her stepchildren, whom she loved deeply: Robert Bishop Jr. and his partner Holly, Nicole Bybee and her husband Jason, and Heather Jones. Becky's love for her family was boundless, and she delighted in the joy and energy of her many grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Throughout her life, Becky demonstrated remarkable resilience and strength. Her ability to find joy in the simple pleasures of life and her generosity of spirit left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy is one of love, kindness, and an enduring sense of family.
A Celebration of Life to honor Becky's memory will be held on July 6, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Beech Grove Moose Lodge, located at 3320 S Emerson Ave. Family and friends are invited to join us in commemorating the remarkable life of a woman who touched so many lives with her warmth and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to assist in covering the funeral expenses. Contributions can be made directly to the family to help ease the burden during this difficult time.
As we gather to celebrate Becky’s life, let us remember her not with tears of sorrow, but with smiles of gratitude for the love and laughter she brought into our lives. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return.
Rebecca "Becky" Bishop will be profoundly missed but never forgotten. Her legacy of love and family will continue to shine brightly in the lives of all those she touched.
