Reba Spears

December 15, 1955 — March 3, 2026

With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Reba Spears, who left this world peacefully on March 3, 2026, at the age of 70. Reba was born on December 15, 1955, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, a cherished daughter to Buck and Katie Jones. Her departure leaves a void that can never truly be filled, but her spirit and legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her. Reba's journey was one marked by love, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to her family and her community. She was a beacon of strength and compassion, qualities that were evident in every role she embraced throughout her life. Her warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to have crossed her path. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Buck and Katie Jones, her sisters Betty Martin and Judy Wells, and her brothers Tommy Jones and Buster Jones. She also rejoins her sisters-in-law, Diane Jones and Rhonda Jones, and brothers-in-law, Jackie Martin and David Wells, in eternal rest. Their collective memories and shared experiences created a tapestry of love and support that sustained Reba throughout her life. Reba’s legacy continues through her devoted sons, Billy and his wife Jennifer Johnson, and Michael Spears, both of Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Her sons were the pride and joy of her life, and she took immense pleasure in watching them grow into the wonderful individuals they are today. Her love for them knew no bounds, and she was their steadfast supporter and confidante. In addition to her family, Reba’s life was enriched by her connection to the community. She was a proud member of the Cherokee Nation, and her cultural heritage was a source of immense pride and inspiration. Her involvement in community activities and her dedication to preserving her heritage were a testament to her deep-rooted love for her origins. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the Cherokee Nation Hastings Hospital and ICU staff. Your compassionate care and support during Reba's final days provided comfort and solace, and your dedication will forever be remembered by those she leaves behind. As we bid farewell to Reba, we celebrate a life that was truly extraordinary. Her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will continue to guide and inspire all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will live on in the memories we hold dear. A memorial service will be held to honor Reba’s life and legacy. Details will be shared with family and friends in the coming days. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Reba’s name to a charity of your choice, celebrating her spirit of giving and kindness. Reba Spears will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Reba. Your journey may have ended, but your story will continue in the hearts of those you loved and who loved you.
