Raynelle Leslie Pipes, a cherished member of the Galveston community, passed away peacefully at her home on April 3, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on December 18, 1957, in the beautiful coastal city of Galveston, Texas, Raynelle was the beloved daughter of Bessie “Barbara” Nebout Pipes and Raymond “Pete” Leslie Pipes. Her departure leaves an indelible void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Raynelle’s life was a tapestry of kindness, warmth, and a never-ending zest for life. She graduated from Galveston Ball High School, and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from University of Houston where she laid the foundation for a fulfilling career marked by dedication and integrity. A respected professional, Raynelle worked diligently and honorably for many years at American National, Eckerds, and selling real estate in Galveston County until her retirement, leaving a legacy of excellence and camaraderie among her colleagues.
A woman of deep faith, Raynelle was an active and devoted member of the Island Church of Galveston. Her faith guided her life and inspired those around her. She was a beacon of light and comfort to many within her church community, embodying the values of compassion and service.
Raynelle's love for reading and traveling was a hallmark of her vibrant spirit. She embraced the world with open arms, eagerly exploring new places and reading about other cultures, bringing back stories and memories that she cherished dearly. Her adventurous spirit and curious nature were contagious, encouraging others to see the beauty in the world around them.
Family was the cornerstone of Raynelle’s life. She is survived by her beloved special friend, Patricia “Patti” Johnson, who stood by her side through life's many journeys. Her cousin and best friend, Linda White Branstetter, along with numerous other cousins, who will forever hold Raynelle close in their hearts, cherishing the laughter and love they shared.
Raynelle Leslie Pipes was a woman of grace and beauty, whose life was a testament to love, faith, and adventure. Though she has departed from this world, her legacy of kindness and joy will continue to inspire all who knew her. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory remain a guiding light in our hearts.
To celebrate Raynelle's remarkable life, a service will be held on April 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Island Church of Galveston. Friends and family are invited to gather in honor of Raynelle's enduring spirit and to share in the memories of a life well-lived.
