Raymond Woo

Raymond Woo, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026, in the comforting presence of his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 19, 1943, in Los Angeles, CA, Raymond lived a life filled with adventure, kindness, and a relentless spirit that inspired all who knew him. Raymond was the cherished son of Jeen and Molly Woo, who predeceased him, alongside his beloved sisters, Carol Yee and Linda Fong, and his dear partner, Margaret Rex. He is survived by a loving family who will continue to honor his legacy: his son, Michael Woo, and grandsons, Kyle and Ryan; his daughter, Cindy Woo, her husband Ed Aniag, and their sons, Ethan and Jason. He also leaves behind his ex-wife, Carolyn Woo, and his devoted sisters, Helen Wong and Nancy Mew, along with their extended families. Raymond married Carolyn Chin in 1963, and though they parted ways in 1980, they remained connected through their shared love for their family. Later, he found companionship and love with Margaret Rex, with whom he shared many cherished years. As a dedicated engineer, real estate agent, and tax accountant, Raymond brought his innovative mind and problem-solving skills to every project he undertook. Outside of work, he embraced the joys of life with an adventurous spirit. An avid deep-sea fisherman, hunter, rally car racer, and skier, Raymond was never one to shy away from a new challenge or the thrill of the great outdoors. At home, he found peace in tending to his garden and delight in tinkering with projects, a testament to his hands-on and creative nature. Raymond's kindness and zest for life left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. His warmth and generosity were as vast as the ocean he loved to fish, and his adventurous spirit was a beacon of inspiration to those fortunate enough to share in his journeys. Raymond Woo's spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of all who loved him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love, laughter, and adventure he brought into our lives.
