In Loving Memory

Raymond Vincent Bremer Jr.
February 19, 1939 — October 2, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Raymond Vincent Bremer on October 2, 2026, at his home, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Teaneck, New Jersey, on February 19, 1939, Ray was the beloved son of Raymond Vincent Bremer Sr. and Mary Machuga Bremer.
Raymond lived a life full of purpose, marked by his dedication to family, community, and country. A proud graduate of Regis High School in Denver, Colorado, and Colorado State University, Ray held deep respect for education and the opportunities it provides. His life of service began with the United States Marine Corps, where he proudly served with the utmost honor and integrity. The motto "Semper Fidelis" was not merely words to Ray but a guiding principle in everything he did.
In December 1963, Ray married his first love, Rosanna Garramone, with whom he shared 40 years until her passing. In June 2006, Ray found love once more with Helen Martin for 20 years. She survives him, along with his daughter, Miriam, stepchildren, Ron, Tana, and Cotton, as well as ten beloved grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Ray is predeceased by his parents, his brother Michael, his first wife, Rosanna, his daughter Monica Grieves, and his Grandson Taylor.
Ray's professional journey was as diverse and rich as his personal life. After serving in the Marines, he worked under Bill Snodgrass at the Goose Egg Ranch in Casper, Wyoming, and later at the Saratoga Springs Ranch. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to purchase a dairy farm in Wellington, Colorado, and eventually to farming in Wheatland, Wyoming. In 1978, he moved to Fort Collins, Colorado, where he briefly ventured into real estate. However, his unparalleled honesty and perfectionist nature found a better fit in construction, and he thrived in the commercial construction industry.
An agronomy degree from Colorado State University paved the way for his work with NC Plus Corn Hybrids, which took him across the country. After returning to Wheatland, Ray managed the local co-op fertilizer plant and continued to indulge his passion for farming and gardening as a County Extension agent. In his later years, he and his wife, Helen, enjoyed time with friends and neighbors in San Manuel, AZ, in the winter months, and eventually settled in Paris, TN, to be closer to family and enjoy Granddaughter Jordan Shellhart's music in Nashville. Known for his meticulous care, Ray tended to his garden until his final days, always ensuring the sprinklers were working and the berries were thriving.
Ray's life was enriched by his membership in the Jaycees of Wheatland, Wyoming, and his love for the outdoors as an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a man who never left anyone behind—always ready to lend a helping hand, whether it was digging out neighbors during a snowstorm or assisting fellow farmers with equipment.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Buttons, RJ, and Mike Jackson for their unwavering support, to Kate Smith for her long-distance encouragement, and to all neighbors, friends, family, and pastors who offered their presence and prayers. Our Family would like to thank the Angels of Gentiva Hospice for unwavering support and care.
A special thank you is extended to Ray's cousin, Father Albert Bremer, for his steadfast spiritual and physical support.
This page will be updated with future information on Memorial Services TBD at a later date.
