August 19, 1939 — May 30, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the peaceful passing of Raymond V. Villalobos, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Born on August 19, 1939, in the welcoming town of Sanger, California, Raymond departed this life on May 30, 2026, enveloped in the comfort of his home, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, and unwavering devotion to his family and community. Raymond was born to the late Laurence and Antoinette Villalobos, who nurtured in him the values of generosity and dedication that he carried throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Mary Villalobos, whom he married on his birthday, August 19, 1961, in Fresno, California. Together, they shared 34 wonderful years, bringing up two sons and building a home filled with love and laughter until Mary's passing. His son Raymond Jr. Villalobos, and his sister, Frances Garner, also predeceased him, and they are all undoubtedly reunited now. Raymond’s journey began with his graduation from Sanger High School in 1959, after which he embarked on a career with the General Cable Company. His industrious spirit and commitment saw him rise through the ranks to the position of Purchasing Agent, where his colleagues esteemed him not only for his expertise but also for his integrity and dedication. After retiring from a fulfilling 30-year career, Raymond continued to contribute to his community through his work with the Consolidated Mosquito Abatement District for the City of Clovis. A true outdoorsman, Raymond found solace in the quietude of nature. His love for fishing and woodworking allowed him to create beauty and joy, building furniture for friends and family that will stand as a testament to his skilled hands and generous heart. His gardens, brimming with vegetables—especially his prized tomatoes—were a source of pride and nourishment, much like his presence in the lives of those he loved. Raymond was a man of quiet strength and boundless generosity. He was ever ready to lend a helping hand, embodying the role of a devoted husband, a nurturing father to his surviving son Michael Villalobos and his wife Deborah, and a doting grandfather to Lauren, Brandon, and Cameron Villalobos. His sister, Marie Nishimura, also survives him, together with countless nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors who were touched by his warmth and sincerity. Beyond his personal pursuits, Raymond was an avid sports enthusiast, his loyalty unwavering for the LA Dodgers, LA Rams, and Notre Dame football. His spirited cheers and insightful commentary enlivened many gatherings, creating bonds that transcended generations. A celebration of Raymond’s life will be held on June 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, located at 3590 E. North Ave, Sanger, CA 93657. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Raymond are invited to attend and share in the remembrances of a man whose life was a testament to love, resilience, and community. In our hearts, Raymond will forever remain, a guiding light and eternal presence of kindness and love. Though his earthly journey has ended, his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. May his soul rest in peace, cradled in the arms of those who have gone before him.
