Raymond V. Sliwinski, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and devoted friend, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, at Samaritan Medical Center. Born on December 23, 1941, to Martha Nowkin and Ramon Sliwinski, Raymond’s life was a testament to resilience, love, and dedication. Raymond proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1958 to 1962, embodying the values of honor, courage, and commitment throughout his life. These years shaped him into the tough yet compassionate man that his family and friends knew and cherished. In 1964, Raymond married the love of his life, Judith K. Sliwinski. Together, they shared a beautiful journey until Judith's passing, but their love story remains an enduring testament to their shared life and dreams. They were partners in every sense, not only as spouses but also in their passion for breeding and showing rough collies. Their dedication and expertise in this field during the 1980s and 1990s earned them an esteemed reputation for excellence. Raymond worked diligently as a casualty administrator for Metropolitan, where he was respected for his professionalism and integrity until his retirement in 1999. Beyond his career, he was a man of many talents and interests, always ready to lend a helping hand and share a piece of wisdom. Raymond is predeceased by his beloved wife, Judith, and his parents, Martha and Ramon. He is survived by his devoted daughters, Judith Olsen and Michelle Barber, as well as his former son-in-law, Christopher Olsen. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Ramon, Rylee, and Reegan Olsen, and Allen and Jeffrey Brundige. Raymond was also a beloved cousin to many, leaving behind a large extended family that admired and loved him dearly. Raymond's family extends a heartfelt thank you to his special caregivers, who provided him with understanding and love. In honor of Raymond’s life and his generous spirit, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. In keeping with his wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate Raymond’s life and legacy. While he may no longer walk among us, Raymond V. Sliwinski will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him, a beacon of strength and kindness.
