It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raymond Q. Cedillo, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished friend to many. Raymond departed this world peacefully on June 18, 2026, at the age of 94, surrounded by the love and warmth of his family at his home. Born on September 20, 1931, in the humble town of Pflugerville, Texas, Raymond was the beloved son of Carmen Cedillo and Francisca Quiroz, who preceded him in death. He was also welcomed into eternity by his beloved wife of 70 years, Juana Cedillo, and his dear siblings. Raymond's journey through life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family, his enduring sense of humor, and his generous spirit. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from October 29, 1952, to October 28, 1954, a service that instilled in him a sense of duty and honor that he carried throughout his life. In 1956, Raymond married the love of his life, Juana, and together they built a beautiful family. Their marriage was a testament to love and commitment, a union that spanned seven decades and brought forth a legacy of love and togetherness. Raymond is survived by his children: Gloria (Carlos) Hernandez, Martha Silva, Ramon Cedillo, Yolanda Cedillo, Cesar (Angela) Cedillo, and Carlos (Blanca) Cedillo. His life was further enriched by his grandchildren: Carlos Hernandez III, Melissa Arroyos, Diana Cedillo, Robert Silva, Renee Cedillo, Julissa Lamonica, Manuel Silva, Brenda Cedillo, Marissa Cedillo, Alyssa Cedillo, and Raymond Cedillo. He also leaves behind a legacy of great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life: Gabrielle Ruelas, Raymond Canava, Dominic Hernandez, Tony Luevano Jr., Andrew Canava, Ezra Silva, Venezia Silva, Neveah Franco, Hailey Lamonica, Aileen Silva, Ryan Lamonica, Heaven Arroyos, Faith Arroyos, Teigan Rutherford, and Skarlett Cedill. Known for his quick wit and warm smile, Raymond had a unique gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued. Whether through a well-timed joke or a simple gesture of kindness, he knew how to brighten the room and lift the spirits of those around him. His generosity and compassion touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Raymond's life was a testament to the power of love, laughter, and selflessness. His legacy is one of kindness and humility, and he will be remembered fondly by all who were blessed to have shared in his journey. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the beautiful life he lived and the many ways he enriched the lives of others. A celebration of Raymond's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and share stories of the joy he brought to all. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Raymond's name to a charity of your choice, as a tribute to his generous spirit and enduring legacy.
