In Loving Memory

Raymond P. Byrd
October 16, 1968 — April 16, 2026
It is with heavy hearts but cherished memories that we announce the peaceful passing of Raymond P. Byrd, a beloved father, dedicated friend, and respected community member, on April 16, 2026. Born on October 16, 1968, in Alabama, Raymond's journey touched the lives of many with warmth, kindness, and an unwavering zest for life.
Raymond was the treasured son of Scott and Margret Byrd, who instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion. A proud graduate of R.B Hudson High School in 1981, Raymond carried forward the lessons learned there throughout his life.
For over two decades, Raymond dedicated himself to his role as a manager at Honda, where he was respected not only for his leadership skills but also for his genuine care for his colleagues. His professionalism and commitment to excellence left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of working with him.
An active member of Babysit Church for 30 years, Raymond's faith and dedication to his church community were unwavering. His service and commitment were a testament to his spiritual devotion and his desire to uplift others through acts of kindness and fellowship.
Raymond's love for the simple joys of life was evident in his hobbies and interests. He found peace and contentment in fishing, often accompanied by the laughter and company of his daughter, Stephanie Byrd, who survives him. Their bond was one of mutual respect and love, a relationship that Raymond cherished deeply. His love for reading and watching television provided him with relaxation and a sense of adventure, always eager to learn something new or escape into a different world.
Those who knew Raymond will remember him most for his bright smile that could light up any room. His warmth, humor, and kind-hearted nature endeared him to all and left an indelible mark on his community.
Though Raymond had no grandchildren or great-grandchildren, his legacy lives on through his daughter Stephanie, who carries forward his values and spirit. The love and wisdom he imparted to her are the greatest gifts he leaves behind.
A service to honor and celebrate Raymond's life will be held on April 19, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Church. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Raymond are invited to attend and share in the celebration of a life well-lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity close to Raymond's heart, reflecting his lifelong commitment to making the world a better place for others.
Raymond P. Byrd will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
