Raymond Lyman, a beloved husband, devoted grandfather, and talented artist, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 82 years old. Born on June 15, 1944, in Whitehall, New York, Raymond lived a life full of creativity, service, and love. Raymond dedicated his life to his family and his craft. He was married to his beloved wife, Mary, with whom he shared many wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and mutual support. Together, they built a beautiful family, blessed with two grandchildren who were the light of Raymond's life. He cherished every moment spent with them, imparting wisdom and sharing his love for painting. A proud veteran, Raymond served his country honorably in the Army. His service instilled in him a deep sense of duty and patriotism, which he carried throughout his life. His commitment to his fellow veterans was demonstrated through his active membership in the Pennsylvania VFW, where he found camaraderie and purpose. Raymond was a gifted painter whose work captured the beauty he saw in the world around him. His artistic talents were not only a source of personal joy but also brought joy to others, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege to view his work. His paintings will continue to inspire and remind us of his gentle spirit and creative soul. In addition to his artistic and military contributions, Raymond was a man of great integrity and kindness. His warmth, generosity, and unwavering support for his loved ones will be sorely missed by all who knew him. In honor of Raymond's memory and his dedication to service, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that was dear to Raymond's heart.
