Raymond Leland Lloyd Sr.

It is with profound sadness and enduring love that we announce the peaceful passing of Raymond Leland Lloyd Sr., who left this world on June 14, 2026, at the age of 84, surrounded by the warmth and love of his cherished family at his home in Bangor, California.
Born on May 17, 1942, in the quiet town of Globe, Arizona, Raymond was the beloved son of Howard and Beatrice Lloyd. Throughout his life, he carried the values instilled in him by his parents—values that guided him and served as a beacon to his loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, DeDe, Howard, Harvey, Marie, and Tina whose memories he cherished deeply.
Raymond is survived by his sister Evva. His wife, Rowena Twinkle Lloyd. Together, they built a life rich in love and laughter, raising a family that was always at the heart of Raymond’s world. He was the proud father of Richard Lloyd, Raymond Lloyd Jr., Angela Lloyd, Eric Hatcher, Matthew Hatcher, Hunter Lloyd, Stewart Lloyd, and Charlee Lloyd. His legacy of love and wisdom lives on in his 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.
Raymond’s life was a testament to dedication and passion. He graduated from Norwalk High School in 1960, after attending Oroville High School, and soon after, he answered the call of duty, serving his country with honor in the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1965. Upon returning to civilian life, he worked in several different industries until he settled in as a pest control technician and contractor, eventually becoming the proud owner of Wild Wood Termite. Beyond his professional endeavors, Raymond was a legend in the world of Men’s Fastpitch Softball. “Eastbay Fast Ray” was a formidable pitcher, he celebrated numerous tournament victories and men’s league championships, earning the admiration and respect of his teammates and opponents alike.
Raymond will be fondly remembered for his warm hugs, bright smile, and firm handshake, which were as legendary as his quick-witted one-liners. His favorite, "Glad you got to see me," will forever echo in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A grave site service be held on June 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 5670 Lincoln Blvd, Oroville, CA 95966. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Raymond are welcome to join in honoring a life well-lived—a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
