Raymond Joseph Hall

January 1, 1950 — October 21, 2026

Raymond Joseph Hall, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, peacefully departed this world on October 21, 2026. Born on January 1, 1950, in Enid, Oklahoma, Raymond was the son of Joseph Howard and Goldie Anne Hall. His journey through life was marked by an unwavering dedication to family and a zest for the simple joys of life. In 1972, Raymond married the love of his life, Velma Juanita Ward. Together, they nurtured a loving home and celebrated 49 wonderful years of marriage. Their union was blessed with a daughter, Elva Ann, and they took great pride in their growing family. Raymond was predeceased by his beloved Velma, yet his love for her remained steadfast, and he now joins her in eternal rest. Raymond's career was spent at McCoy Tree Surgery, where he worked diligently as a crew chief until his retirement in 1990. Known for his hard work and dedication, he was a respected member of the team and forged many lasting friendships. Beyond his professional life, Raymond had a passion for westerns, delighting in the tales of Gun Smoke and the legendary John Wayne. His hands were rarely idle, as he enjoyed working on cars and tinkering with anything that challenged his mechanical curiosity. A man of humor and warmth, Raymond was always ready with a joke and a hearty laugh. His kind spirit and playful nature touched the lives of all who knew him. As a husband, a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he was a pillar of strength and a source of endless love and wisdom. Raymond is survived by his daughter, Elva Ann, and her husband Michael Voelker; his grandchildren, Brandon Lee Hall and partner Amber Goodwin, Zachary Scott Hall and wife Cassandra, Tyler Ray Hall, Kendra Renea Hall; and his great-grandchildren, Braxton Scott Hall, Brentyn Lee Hall, Bentley Joe Hall, Aspen Reign Hall, Ronan Jay Hall, Jax Taylor Hall, Zane Joseph Hall, Sammual Dean Hall, Kolter Wayne Hall, and Angel Juanita Hall. He also leaves behind his siblings, Tim Hall and wife Tina, George Hall, Marvin Hall and wife Valorie, John Hall, Vera Hall, JoAnn Metz, and Rose Hall, along with adopted children and grandchildren, Travis Nelson and wife Mary, Kenny Kunkel, Zoey Kunkel, Micah Kunkel, and Luna Nelson, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Valor Hospice and Garland Road Nursing and Rehab-Enid, whose care and kindness provided comfort during Raymond's final days. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Raymond's memory to the American Heart Association, an organization close to his heart. Raymond Joseph Hall will be remembered for his devotion to family, his infectious laughter, and his enduring legacy of love. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
