In Loving Memory

Raymond J Konecny Jr
January 31, 1950 — October 26, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raymond J Konecny Jr, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left us on October 26, 2026. Born on January 31, 1950, in Kansas, Raymond lived a vibrant life filled with love, laughter, and a passion for the simple joys of life.
Raymond was a devoted husband to Mary Kay Konecny and a loving father to his daughter, Sheannah Flores Lagarda. His pride and joy were his grandchildren, Ruth and Elias Flores Konecny, with whom he shared countless treasured moments. Raymond is also survived by his cherished siblings: his sister, Karan Suarez Hibbard, and his brothers, Michael, Patrick, Tim, and Kelly Konecny.
A 1968 graduate of Federal Way High School, Raymond went on to earn a Bachelor's degree, leading to a successful career in the computer science division at Boeing, from which he retired. His professional life was marked by dedication and innovation, leaving a lasting impact on his colleagues and the field.
Raymond was an avid fisherman, finding peace and excitement in the company of his brothers and brother-in-law on countless fishing trips. He also had a green thumb, nurturing his garden with care, and enjoyed participating in trials with his Brittany Spaniel. His garage was his sanctuary, where he spent many contented hours puttering and creating.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Raymond will remember his remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome. His warmth and openness meant that he never met a stranger, only friends he had not yet made. His genuine kindness and generosity of spirit touched all who crossed his path.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Brookdale Torbett and Hospice for their exceptional support and care during Raymond's final days. In accordance with his wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held.
In memory of Raymond, the family suggests donations to be made to a charity of your choice or a memorial fund in his honor. While the world feels a little dimmer without him, Raymond's light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved him.
