Raymond Eugene Smith, Sr.

Raymond Eugene Smith, Sr., 46, died on December 29, 1989, following a sudden heart attack. Born on October 23, 1943, in Central City, Kentucky, he was the adopted son of Moomen Smith and Elizabeth Hulsey Smith. His adopted father, Moomen, predeceased him, as did his foster brother, Joe Willard Smith. Surviving are his wife, Sharon Rose Graham Smith, his five children: Raymond Eugene Smith, Jr., Penny Darlene Smith (Chris David) Branstetter, Scott Edward Smith, Selina Jo Smith and LaWanna Sue (Rita) Brand. Raymond is also survived by adopted mother, Elizabeth Hulsey Smith, adopted sister, Margaret Hardin (Norman Kenneth) Isbell. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit endures, a reminder of the profound impact one life can have. A private family service will be held to honor and celebrate Raymond's life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to a charity of one's choice.
