Raymond passed away peacefully in the company of loved ones, following a sudden heart attack. He was born on August 15, 1963, in Owensboro, Kentucky, a place he held dear throughout his life.
Raymond was the firstborn child of the late Raymond Eugene Smith, Sr. and Sharon Rose Graham Smith. He grew up in a family rich with love and laughter, where values of kindness, resilience, and community were instilled by his parents and his grandmother, the late Elizabeth Hulsey Smith, who preceded him in death. These values shaped him into a man of integrity and warmth, admired by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Raymond is survived by his devoted partner, Kimberly Allen, who stood by his side with unwavering love and support. Their bond was a testament to the deep and abiding connection they shared. Together, they created a nurturing home filled with warmth and encouragement, a sanctuary for their family.
Raymond was a proud and loving father to his daughter, Katelin Miche'le (Mitchell) Craddock. His love for her was boundless, and he took immense pride in her accomplishments and the beautiful family she has created. Raymond's legacy lives on through his grandchildren, Brayden, Lillyan, Lyrik, and Beckham Craddock, who brought immeasurable joy to his life. He found great delight in their laughter and in the stories of their adventures, always eager to offer his wisdom and experience.
A beloved brother, Raymond leaves behind his siblings: Penny Darlene Smith (Chris) Branstetter, Scott Edward (Cherish) Smith, Selina Jo Smith (Omid) Maleki, and LaWanna Sue (Rita) Brand. Their bond was a testament to the strength of family ties, woven with shared memories and mutual support. Raymond's nephews, Christian Daniel Branstetter and Nicholas David (Lindsay) Branstetter, along with his grand-nephew, Henry Obie Law-Branstetter, will fondly remember him as a guiding light and a source of inspiration.
