In Loving Memory

Raymond Earl DuPee Jr
October 18, 1949 — June 13, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raymond Earl DuPee Jr, a cherished son, of the late Violet & Raymond DuPee Sr. brother of the late Patrica Junio/Mullen, Mark and John DuPee. Raymond left this world on June 13, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on October 18, 1949, in the vibrant city of Philadelphia, Raymond's life was a testament to love, service, and dedication.
Raymond spent his formative years in Philadelphia, where he attended Roxborough High School. His keen interest in electronics and technology was evident even then, paving the way for a fulfilling career. After high school, Raymond answered the call to serve his country, enlisting in the United States Navy on August 1, 1969. His time in the Navy was marked by adventure and discovery, as he traveled to various parts of the world, with Greenland becoming a particular favorite. However, the needs of his family led him to make the difficult decision to leave active service on August 6, 1975.
Despite leaving active duty, Raymond's journey with the government continued as he transitioned to a civilian role in ASIC/Electronics. Over the next twenty years, until his retirement, he made significant contributions to his field, leaving a lasting legacy of innovation and excellence.
In his personal life, Raymond was a man of quiet strength. Although he enjoyed his privacy, he was always ready to lend a helping hand, embodying the true spirit of dependability and kindness. His thoughtful nature was especially evident in his role as the family photographer, capturing countless precious moments with his trusty Minolta camera.
Raymond's leisure pursuits reflected his love for both mental and physical challenges. An avid golfer and chess enthusiast, he also enjoyed trips to Lancaster and exploring the scenic train routes while relishing the Amish buffets. His playful side was revealed in his fondness for magic tricks and jokes, bringing smiles and laughter to those around him.
Despite life's hardships, including the loss of his beloved fiancé, Maria, in 2009 after more than six wonderful years together, Raymond remained resilient, finding solace and joy in the company of his sister Patty and Niece.
Raymond is survived by his niece, Kimberly Rampone, (Michael) who is his next of kin and can be contacted for further information through Koller’s Funeral Home. His life will be honored with a send off service on July 10, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Northwood Cemetery, located at 1501 Haines St, Philadelphia, PA 19126.
Raymond Earl DuPee Jr will be remembered as a man of honor, a gentle soul, and a beloved family member whose memory will forever be treasured in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Raymond, knowing you were deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
