San Antonio, Texas - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Raymond Anthony Carrillo Jr., a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Ray, as he was affectionately known, was born on September 17, 1957, in San Antonio, Texas, and passed away unexpectedly on April 6, 2026. He was 68 years old. Ray was the beloved son of the late Raymond Carrillo Sr. and Anita Cabrera. He is predeceased by his loving parents and his dear brother, Roger Abel Carrillo. Ray’s legacy of love and kindness lives on through his surviving family, including his children, Raymond Carrillo and Rachel Carrillo, and his treasured grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. Known for his warm heart and generous spirit, Ray was a caring and loving person who touched the lives of many. His gentle nature and unwavering kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Ray had an extraordinary ability to make others feel valued and loved, a quality that will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Ray is survived by his siblings, Ralph, Ruben, Richard (Bridget), Jesse (Cecelia), Anna, Debbie (Rudy), and Patricia. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart. Ray treasured his family above all else, and their bond was a testament to his nurturing spirit. We invite you to join us in celebrating Ray’s life on April 24, 2026, at Southwest Funeral Home, located at 3936 S Zarzamora St. The service will commence at 11:00 AM, where we will gather to honor his memory and the indelible mark he left on our hearts.
