In Loving Memory

Raymond Anthony Carrillo
September 17, 1957 — April 6, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Raymond Anthony Carrillo, who left us unexpectedly on April 6, 2026, at the age of 68. A beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Raymond's presence will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Raymond was born on September 17, 1957, in the vibrant city of San Antonio, Texas. He was the cherished son of the late Anita Cabrera and Raymond Carrillo Sr., and brother to the late Roger Abel Carrillo. Growing up in a family with love and laughter, Raymond developed a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life, which he carried with him throughout his journey.
Raymond is survived by his loving children, Ray and Rachel As a grandfather to two adoring grandchildren, instilling in them the same warmth and kindness he showed to everyone he met. His siblings, brothers Ralph Richard (Bridget) and Ruben Jesse (Cecelia), as well as his sisters Anna, Debbie (Rudy), Patricia, and Nora, along with numerous nephews, nieces, and a multitude of cousins, will forever hold him dear in their hearts.
Raymond's love for his family was matched only by his passion for the San Antonio Spurs. He was a loyal fan, and his enthusiasm was infectious; game nights were filled with cheers, laughter, and fond memories shared with loved ones and friends. Raymond's generous spirit and his ability to bring people together were just a few of the qualities that made him such a special person.
To honor Raymond's life and legacy, a service will be held on April 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Southwest Funeral Home, located at 3946 S Zarzamora St. This gathering will not only commemorate his life but also celebrate the countless ways he touched the hearts of those around him.
During this time of mourning, the family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have reached out with support and compassion. Your kindness and care are deeply appreciated as we navigate this difficult time.
In remembering Raymond Anthony Carrillo, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, generosity, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. As we say goodbye, we hold onto the warmth of his memory, the joy of his laughter, and the love that will forever remain in our hearts.
