February 12, 1959 — June 20, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Rayford Morgan, who departed this world on June 20, 2026, at the age of 67, after a courageous battle with stage 4 cancer. Born on February 12, 1959, in the humble town of Gladewater, Texas, Rayford's life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. Rayford is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Bridgett Morgan, who stood by his side with love and devotion since their marriage on March 21, 1976. Together, they raised four extraordinary daughters, Mandy Kennedy, Christy Haynes, Brittany Morgan, and Kerri Greer, nurturing a family bound by love and laughter. His legacy continues through his adoring nieces, nephews, and grandchildren, who will forever cherish the memories of their dear "PawPaw." A man of remarkable skill and dedication, Rayford worked as a mechanic, a vocation that allowed him to breathe life into the broken, especially motors. His hands, calloused from years of labor, were gentle and kind, reflecting the essence of his character. Rayford's passion extended beyond his profession to the great outdoors, where he found joy in fishing, hunting, and racing. Yet, his greatest happiness came from the time spent with his grandchildren, whose lives he enriched with his boundless love. Rayford's presence was legendary, known for lighting up any room he entered with his infectious smile and hearty laughter. A man of humor, he often left others with smiles as bright as his own, making jokes that echoed through the hearts of those who knew him. His kindness and generosity earned him profound respect in his community, where he leaves behind a legacy of compassion and goodwill. A service to celebrate Rayford's life will be held on June 24, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a man who touched so many lives with his warmth and affection. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Home Going Service at this link, honoring Rayford's spirit of giving and community support. Though we mourn his passing, we find solace in the love Rayford shared with us all. His memory will forever be a guiding light, reminding us to live with the same kindness, joy, and integrity that he exemplified every day of his life.
