Ray Green

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ray Green, who left this world on August 12, 2026. Ray was born on August 22, 1966, in Gray, Georgia, and spent his remarkable 59 years spreading joy, laughter, and love to all who knew him. Ray was the beloved son of Frank and Willie Mae Green, who have predeceased him, along with his sister, Kemma Byron, and his cherished daughter, Shawntavia Jackson. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter in his surviving family: his devoted children Latrice Darling and Shaneka Ward, who is married to Christopher. Ray was a proud grandfather to seven beautiful grandchildren: Lailea, Bobby jr.,Braiden , Jason, Jleah, Janyla, and Elliana. And his Godson Kingston. He is also survived by his brother, Stacy Green, and his sister-in-law, Tasha. His devoted and loving Aunt Carrie E. Hamm. Nieces, nephews, friends and family who will forever cherish his memory. Ray was an accomplished mechanic, known for his expertise and dedication to his craft. He had an innate ability to fix more than just machines; he mended hearts and lifted spirits with his infectious laughter and warm presence. Ray found immense joy in making others laugh and treasured the moments he spent surrounded by family and friends. A celebration of Ray's life will take place on August 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Kingdom Life Church, located at 2138 Shurling Dr., Macon, GA 31211. Family, friends, and all whose lives he touched are invited to join in honoring his memory. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the many deeds of kindness shown during their time of sorrow. Ray's legacy will live on in the laughter of his grandchildren, the love of his family, and the memories cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
