Randy William Roth
December 10, 1944 — October 17, 2026
Randy William Roth, a devoted family man, proud veteran, and vibrant community member, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on December 10, 1944, in Rochester, NY, Randy was the beloved son of William and Melba Roth, both of whom predeceased him.
Randy's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and adventure. He was a cherished husband to Wanda Knight, with whom he shared 11 beautiful years of marriage and a total of 18 years of companionship. His family was his greatest joy, and he leaves behind his loving son, Shannon Roth and his wife April, and his dear stepdaughter, Crystal Koperda and her partner Justin Adams. Randy was a proud grandfather to Cheyenne, Sonya, Michael, Kiersten, and Mackenzie, and a doting great-grandfather to little Sam, whom he adored deeply. He is also survived by his three siblings, Kevin Roggen, Sherrie Heinz, and Kelly Roggen, who will miss him dearly.
Randy's life was marked by service and dedication. As a veteran of the US Army, he served his country with honor and pride. In his professional life, he was a hardworking man who wore many hats. From his days as a truck driver to owning and operating Gold Key Pawn and Alibi Pawn, Randy exemplified the entrepreneurial spirit. He retired after 27 years as a Lot Operations expert at Manheim Auto Auction, where his work ethic and jovial personality left an indelible mark.
A man of many interests, Randy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #1023, the American Legion in Winter Haven, and AMVETS in Lakeland, where he shared camaraderie with fellow members. His love for motorcycles and old cars was matched only by his passion for the great outdoors. Whether he was riding through scenic routes, boating, or enjoying the tranquility of Anna Maria Island and Silver Glenn Springs, Randy embraced life with open arms.
Randy was known for his infectious humor and his ability to make everyone around him feel welcome. He was the kind of person who knew your name the day you moved onto his block, a genuine friend to all. Even at 81, he was full of life, working five days a week and always ready with a joke.
Randy's legacy is one of kindness, laughter, and an unwavering zest for life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
