Randy Lee Pederson, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on October 25, 2026, just shy of his 77th birthday. Born on October 29, 1949, in Warroad, Minnesota, Randy was the cherished son of Clarence and Evelyn Pederson, who have preceded him in death. Randy's life was a testament to the power of joy and human connection. Though he never married, his heart was full, and his life was rich with the love of his family and friends. He was the kind of person who could light up a room with his infectious smile and warm embrace, and he was known for giving the best hugs. Randy was a lover of music, often found tapping out rhythms on his beloved drums, a passion that brought him and those around him immense joy. His career at the Occupational Development Center in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, was one of dedication and care. Randy found fulfillment in his work, contributing positively to his community and touching countless lives with his kindness and unwavering cheerfulness. Family was the cornerstone of Randy's life. He cherished every moment spent with his siblings: Wesley (Karen) Pederson, Clayton (Susan) Pederson, Peggy Estling, Pamela Pederson, Conni Lucca, Brenda Volk, and Jody Christian. He held close the memories of his brothers-in-law, Jay Estling Jr. and Joseph Lucca, who preceded him in passing. The holidays were a special time for Randy, as they provided the perfect opportunity to gather with those he loved most. His home was often filled with laughter and music, as he relished in the company of his family and the traditions they shared. In honor of Randy's memory, the family suggests that donations be made to a charity of the donor's choice, a fitting tribute to a man who gave so freely of himself to others.
