It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Randy Brandon, a treasured husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who departed this world on May 24, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on June 11, 1957, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Randy lived a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering faith.
Randy was the beloved son of the late Edwin Spencer Brandon and Velma Lillian Brandon, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms at Heaven's gate. His life was a testament to love and dedication, especially as he shared an extraordinary 45-year marriage with his cherished wife, Linda Brandon. The couple's journey began on June 11, 1979, in Nashville, Tennessee, and together they raised a large, loving family that includes six children, 24 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, each of whom he adored deeply.
A revered Professional Crane Operator and accomplished Ironworker, Randy dedicated over 50 years to his craft, leaving an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of working alongside him. He was a mentor to many, offering guidance and wisdom generously to those willing to learn. Randy's strong will, deep convictions, and refusal to give up inspired all who knew him.
Randy's presence was one of warmth and joy, characterized by his fun-loving wit and contagious laughter. He carried a gentle spirit beneath a rugged exterior, embodying a perfect balance of strength and tenderness. His love for his family was deep and unrelenting, extending beyond his immediate family to also include his siblings, whom he held dear.
A man of profound faith, Randy had a deep love for our Lord Jesus Christ, which was evident in his life and relationships. His curious mind and thoughtful nature led him to be a deep thinker, always eager to explore and learn more about the world around him.
To celebrate Randy's life and bid farewell, a service will be held on June 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Darst Funeral Home, located at 796 Russell Palmer Rd, Kingwood, TX 77339. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be available via livestream at https://www.darstfuneralhome.com.
In these moments of sorrow, we find solace in the words shared by his family: "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away" - Revelation 21:4.
Randy Brandon will be remembered not only for the life he lived but for the love he gave and the legacy he leaves behind. He touched the hearts of many and will be dearly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the incredible life he led and the everlasting impact he made on all of us.
