It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Randolph Doughty, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who left us on July 10, 2026, at the age of 67. Randolph was born on October 10, 1958, in the close-knit community of Davis Station, South Carolina, to Willie and Ruth Stukes Doughty, who bestowed upon him the values of kindness, perseverance, and love that he carried throughout his life. Randolph was a proud graduate of Scotts Branch High School, Class of 1976, where he formed lifelong friendships and laid the foundation for his future endeavors. Shortly after, he answered the call to serve his country with honor and distinction, dedicating many years to the United States Army. His service was marked by bravery and commitment, and he retired from the military, having touched the lives of many with his leadership and integrity. Following his military career, Randolph's passion for innovation led him to the field of electronics, where he excelled as an Electronic Technician. His curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit also guided him into the world of real estate investment, where he found great success and fulfillment. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Randolph was a man of deep family values. He cherished every moment spent with his children and his five adored grandchildren, who were the light of his life. His pride in their achievements was evident, and his love for them was boundless. An avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Randolph enjoyed sharing his enthusiasm for football, often gathering with loved ones to cheer on his favorite team. His warm smile and hearty laugh could light up any room, and he was known for his generous spirit and unwavering support to those around him. Randolph's legacy is also marked by the deep bonds he shared with his siblings. While he is predeceased by his brothers, Willie and Fred Doughty, and his sister, Barbara Doughty McCray, their memories remained ever-present in his heart. In honoring Randolph's life, we remember a man who embodied resilience, compassion, and love. He is survived by his devoted children and five cherished grandchildren, who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and dedication. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Randolph's memory, reflecting his lifelong commitment to helping others.
