In Loving Memory of Randall Scott Price
It is with broken hearts and unimaginable sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother, and friend, Randall Scott Price, affectionately known as "Smokie." Born on November 1, 1966, in Salem, Virginia, Scott graced our lives with his warmth and vibrant spirit until his untimely departure on August 8, 2026.
Scott was the cherished son of Clifton R. Price, Sr., who predeceased him, and his loving mother, Reba Daphine Price. He shared a special bond with his siblings, Cindy Miller and Jimmy, Donna Ray, Clifton R. Price Jr. and Angela, Paul Price and Jenny, and Girard Price and Kathryn. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he adored his seven nephews and seven nieces, each holding a treasured place in his heart. The love and laughter he shared with his extended family, friends, and everyone he encountered will forever be remembered.
A man of many passions, Scott found joy in the simple pleasures of life. His love for mechanics was unparalleled, and he could often be found working on or talking about anything with an engine. Motorcycles and Mustangs brought him immense happiness, and his enthusiasm for them was contagious. Music was another constant companion in his life, filling his days with melodies that resonated with his soul.
Scott's heart was as large as his love for dogs, especially his beloved Rottweiler, Bubba. To Scott, Bubba was more than a pet; he was a true companion and a cherished member of his family.
Beyond his interests and hobbies, Scott will be remembered for the way he touched the lives of those around him. His smile could light up any room, and his laughter was infectious. He had a remarkable ability to make friends effortlessly, sharing stories, conversations, and joy with everyone he met. Scott's presence was a beacon of warmth and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
We will miss his smile, his laughter, the sound of his music, and the comforting hum of an engine that signaled his presence. Although his life was cut short, the love, friendships, memories, and happiness he bestowed upon others will endure. He will be with us always, in every favorite song, every Mustang on the road, every rumble of a motorcycle, and every cherished memory.
A service to celebrate Scott's life will be held on August 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home Chapel, located at 305 Roanoke Blvd, Salem, VA 24153. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, as a tribute to Scott's generous spirit.
As we bid farewell, we hold close the family's heartfelt message: "Ride free, keep the music playing, and keep smiling until we meet again." Scott, you were deeply loved, you will be forever missed, and you will never be forgotten.
