Rana Bracey

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Rana Bracey, who departed this world on July 2, 2026, at the age of 48. Born on September 11, 1977, in Jackson, Mississippi, Rana brought light and love into the lives of everyone she touched. Rana was the cherished daughter of Oille Bracey. Though her journey was cut short, the love and memories she left behind will forever be etched in the hearts of her family and friends. She was preceded in death by the Hinds County Coroner's Office, and her absence will be deeply felt by those who survive her, including her devoted children: daughters Rosunda Bracey, Regina Bracey, and Rosland Gunn, her son Reginald Bracey, and her nine treasured grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. A dedicated and compassionate nurse, Rana served as a Registered Nurse for 16 years, where she tirelessly cared for her patients with grace and empathy. Her commitment to helping others was not only a vocation but a true calling, and her gentle spirit and nurturing nature will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her in her professional capacity. Rana had a zest for life and a deep passion for cooking. Her kitchen was often filled with laughter, warmth, and the delicious aromas of her culinary creations. She found great joy in sharing meals with family and friends, believing that food was a way to bring people together and create lasting memories. In addition to her love for cooking, Rana was known for her strong work ethic and her dedication to any task she undertook. A memorial service to honor and celebrate Rana's life will be held on July 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ, located at 4075 S Siwell Rd, Jackson, MS 39212. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Rana are invited to come together to remember her and celebrate the remarkable woman she was. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in Rana's memory. This gesture will honor her generous spirit and her lifetime of giving to others. Rana Bracey's legacy of love, compassion, and kindness will forever inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. As we celebrate her life, we remember the joy she brought into our lives and the indelible mark she left on our hearts. Her memory will live on in the stories we share, the lessons she taught us, and the love she gave so freely.
