It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Rana Bracey, who departed this world on July 2, 2026, at the age of 48. Born in Jackson, Mississippi, on September 9, 1977, Rana was a beacon of love and compassion whose presence brightened the lives of all who knew her. Rana was the cherished daughter of Lisa Bracey and Anny Miller. She was preceded in death by her precious children, Regina Bracey, Rosland Gunn, and Reginald Bracey. Despite these unimaginable losses, Rana's resilience and strength were an inspiration to many. Rana dedicated her life to caring for others, working tirelessly as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her patients were not just recipients of her care but were treated with the empathy and kindness that defined her nature. To her colleagues and those she cared for, Rana was a source of comfort and hope, and her absence will be deeply felt. She leaves behind four loving children and eight adoring grandchildren, each of whom carries forward her legacy of love and dedication. Her family was her world, and she invested her heart and soul into nurturing and guiding them. Her love was unconditional, and her absence leaves a void that can never be filled. A memorial service to celebrate Rana's life will be held on July 25, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at the Church Of Christ, located at 5225 Hanging Moss Road in Jackson, Mississippi. Family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by Rana are invited to join in remembering her life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, as a tribute to Rana's generous spirit and her lifelong commitment to helping others. The family shares this special message: "Let this be a loving reminder that someone is missing today, someone our hearts still hold on to, as we travel along life's way. Someone who made life so special, for all those who gather here, someone who won't be forgotten, but cherished from year to year. And now, as we pause to remember, let us all fondly recall, how dearly each of us loved her, and oh, how she loved us all." Rana Bracey will forever be remembered for her boundless love, her unwavering dedication, and the light she brought into the lives of everyone she met.
