In Loving Memory

Ramy Sualog Marasigan
March 22, 1945 — October 2, 2026
Ramy Sualog Marasigan, 81, passed away on October 2, 2026, in Panorama City, California. Raised in Buruanga, Aklan, Philippines, he later lived in La Loma, Quezon City, before settling in California’s San Fernando Valley.
In the Philippines, Ramy studied Mechanical Engineering at FEATI University and went on to a career in public service as an Assessor at Quezon City Hall. At 55, he immigrated to the United States, bringing his steadfast work ethic with him as a custodian for the Los Angeles Unified School District.
A simple, quiet, and profoundly strong man, Ramy was kind, patient, and reserved. He was selfless to the core, always putting his family’s needs ahead of his own. He was generous with his time, always ready to help others, and often lent a hand around the house.
He collected hats and colognes and found a strong sense of community in the fellowship of the Knights of Columbus at St. Genevieve. He appreciated simple pleasures like a good meal out or relaxing in front of the TV, but nothing brought him more joy than a trip to Yaamava’ or Pechanga.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Emily; his children, Ramil, Anthony, Teresa, and Lourdes; and his cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Benedict, Ava, Allison, Angelic, Summer, Liana, and Larissa. His extended family and dear friends in both the Philippines and the United States will deeply miss him.
For family and friends unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed. Please contact Anthony Marasigan at 562-212-9198 or by email at am01mara@yahoo.com for the link.
In lieu of flowers, you may make memorial contributions directly to his wife, Emily.

An Irish Blessing
May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
