In Loving Memory of Ramona Salcedo It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Ramona Salcedo, who departed this life on March 31, 2026, after a valiant battle with a chronic illness. Born on August 30, 1948, in the vibrant city of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Ramona's 77 years on this earth were a testament to her enduring spirit and profound love for her family and community. Ramona was the cherished daughter of Katherine and Julio Salcedo, who nurtured her early years in San Juan before the family moved to New York. She graduated from Manhattan High School, where she developed a lifelong love for learning and a curiosity about the world around her. It was in Brooklyn, New York, where she met the love of her life, Julio Salcedo. They married on May 1, 1970, embarking on a beautiful journey together that would span decades filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to one another. Together, Ramona and Julio built a family that became the center of her world. Though she was predeceased by some of her beloved children and grandchildren, she leaves behind a legacy carried on by her surviving children: Madeline Salcedo, Julius Salcedo, Raymond Salcedo, and Jose Salcedo. Her familial embrace extended further, as she was a proud grandmother to 15 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 4 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life. Ramona's life was a tapestry of many colors, woven with kindness, resilience, and a deep compassion for others. She had a special gift for bringing people together and creating a sense of community wherever she went. Her home was often filled with the aroma of her delicious cooking, the laughter of children, and the warmth of friendship—each gathering a reminder of her generous spirit and the love she cultivated. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her through life's challenges and joys. As a devoted member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, she found comfort and strength in her spirituality, and her presence will be sorely missed by her church family. A service celebrating the life of Ramona Salcedo will be held on April 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, located at 1501 N Alafaya Trl, Orlando, FL 32828, United States. Family, friends, and community members are invited to join us in honoring the life of a remarkable woman who touched the hearts of all who knew her. As we bid farewell to our dear Ramona, we do so with gratitude for the love she shared and the profound impact she had on our lives. Her legacy of love, strength, and compassion will continue to inspire us, reminding us to hold our loved ones close and cherish each moment we are given. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ramona’s memory to a charity of your choice, spreading kindness and support to those in need, just as she did throughout her life. Rest in peace, dear Ramona. You are forever in our hearts.
