Ramiro Charles, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026, surrounded by his children until he entered the pearly gates of Heaven. Born on April 2, 1968, in the vibrant city of Corpus Christi, Ramiro lived a life full of adventure, laughter, and love.
Ramiro was the cherished son of Ruben Charles and the late Maria Elena Garcia. He was predeceased by his mother and sister, Rebecca Cobarruvias, whose memories he held dear. Surviving him are his devoted children, Jessica Deleon (Rick), Ashley Cantu (Eric), and Ramiro Charles (Monse), who each carry forward his legacy of strength and kindness. Additionally, he leaves behind his dear sisters, Ruby Marroquin (Irma) and Sylvia Garcia, and eight grandchildren who were the light of his life.
A veteran, Ramiro served his country as a submariner in the US Navy from. His time in the military was a testament to his courage and commitment, values he carried with him throughout his life.
Ramiro's love for fishing was legendary. Known for his ability to fillet a fish like no other, he often shared his passion with family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. A lifelong learner, he embraced every opportunity to acquire new skills, a testament to his insatiable curiosity and zest for life.
Those who knew Ramiro will remember him for his quick wit and boundless knowledge. He was a steadfast friend who was always ready for a good time and whose laughter could brighten any room. His presence was a source of joy and comfort to those around him, and his legacy will endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A celebration of Ramiro’s life will be held on September 25, 2026, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the remarkable man he was.
