In Loving Memory

Ralph Peter Yannon
October 5, 1929 — May 12, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Ralph Peter Yannon, who entered eternal rest on May 12, 2026, in the comforting embrace of his beloved family and friends. Born on October 5, 1929, in Providence, Rhode Island, Ralph's remarkable journey spanned 96 years, during which he touched countless lives with his warmth, wit, and unyielding spirit.
Ralph was the cherished son of the late Peter Paul Yannon and Maria (Ricciutti) Yannon, and was lovingly raised by Angela (Viti) Yannon. He was predeceased by his dear sisters, Mary Trementozzi and Josephine Ventura, and his brother, Edward Camparoni. Ralph's legacy lives on through his devoted wife of nearly 64 years, Dolores (Aiello) Yannon, and their beloved daughters, Kimberly Yannon and her partner Dwight Rollins, and Stephanie DeBartolomeo and her husband Kevin DeBartolomeo. Ralph was a proud and doting grandfather to Aynsley Stock, Jameson Stock, Lucas Stock, Gabrielle DeBartolomeo, Christina DeBartolomeo, and Daniel DeBartolomeo. His family was his greatest joy, and he relished every moment spent with them.
Married to Dolores on May 30, 1962, Ralph was the epitome of a loving husband and father, finding solace in the warmth of his home and family. His quick wit and problem-solving skills were legendary, and he had an uncanny ability to learn and master new skills. A dedicated member of St. Joseph’s parish in North Scituate and the East Greenwich Yacht Club, Ralph was a man of faith and community.
Ralph honorably served his country as a member of the United States Air Force, and later contributed his considerable talents to the US Department of Defense as a cartographer. During the Cold War, Ralph had top-secret clearance and played a vital role in hand-scribing maps from reconnaissance film, a testament to his remarkable intelligence and dedication.
In his leisure time, Ralph found joy in the outdoors, whether fishing, playing golf and tennis, or sailing across the waters. A self-taught sailor, he commanded the seas with a 42-foot craft well into his 80s, embodying the adventurous spirit that defined his life.
A memorial service to celebrate Ralph's extraordinary life will be held on May 22, 2026, at 9:17 PM. In keeping with his generous spirit, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Saint Jude’s Hospital, one of Ralph's cherished charities, via this link: St. Jude's Donation.
Ralph's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and the pursuit of knowledge. His legacy will endure in the hearts of those who knew him, and his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us all.
