Ralph Holeman

May 5, 1947 — March 23, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound respect that we announce the passing of Ralph Holeman, a beloved member of the Paducah community, who departed this earthly life on March 23, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on May 5, 1947, in the charming city of Paducah, Kentucky, Ralph was the cherished son of the late John William Holeman and Willie Cunningham Holeman, who have now welcomed him into their eternal embrace. Ralph lived his entire life in Paducah, a city he loved dearly and served with unwavering dedication. For over two decades, he was a committed employee of the City of Paducah Public Works Department, a role in which he found not only purpose but also profound joy. His tireless dedication and commitment to his work did not go unnoticed, earning him the esteemed title of "Duke of Paducah." This honor was a testament to his selfless service and the indelible mark he left on his community. Beyond his professional life, Ralph was a deeply spiritual man. A devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Paducah, Ralph found solace and joy in his faith. His love for the Lord was matched only by his love for music; he was known for his beautiful voice that graced the church choir, where he sang with joy and fervor. His unique laugh and jolly demeanor were infectious, bringing light and happiness to those around him. Ralph was a man of gentle spirit and kind soul, qualities that endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His laughter was a melody that resonated with everyone he met, and his presence was like a warm embrace on the coldest of days. He had the rare gift of uplifting others, leaving an indelible impression on the hearts of his family, friends, and community. Though he never married, Ralph was surrounded by the love of his extended family, who cherished him dearly. He is survived by his cousins: Linda Rhudy, Rusty Wolfe, Robbie Richardson, Darci Slone, and Corey Harper, who will carry his memory in their hearts, honoring the legacy of love and kindness he bestowed upon them. Ralph's passing leaves a void in the hearts of many, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him. As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, we are reminded of the words he lived by: to love deeply, laugh heartily, and serve others with grace and humility. A celebration of Ralph's life will be held at First Baptist Church of Paducah, where his voice once soared, on a date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ralph's name to the church choir or the Paducah Public Works Department, two causes dear to his heart. Ralph Holeman will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as his gentle spirit and infectious laughter continue to echo in the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.
