February 11, 1935 — March 12, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Ralph Cornwell, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, on March 12, 2026. Born on February 11, 1935, in Omaha, Nebraska, Ralph lived a life that was full of love, laughter, and dedication to family and faith. He departed this world as he lived in it, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family at his home. Ralph leaves behind his beloved wife, Diane Cornwell, to whom he was devoted for over six decades. Their love story was a testament to the beautiful journey of companionship and shared dreams. Together, they built a family filled with joy, raising three wonderful children: Kris, Mikey, and Sarah. Ralph was immensely proud of them, never missing an opportunity to celebrate their achievements and milestones. His legacy of love and kindness continues through his seven grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart. Ralph was a man who found joy in simple pleasures and the beauty of nature. His heart was at peace in the great outdoors, where he spent countless hours fishing, a pastime he cherished deeply. He never missed an opening fishing date, often retreating to the family cabin where he found solace and serenity. These moments in nature were shared with his grandchildren, whom he adored, imparting to them his love for the environment and the importance of cherishing each moment. A man of deep faith, Ralph was a devoted member of his church community. Sundays were sacred, as he and Diane attended church together, finding comfort and guidance in their shared spirituality. His unwavering faith was a guiding light in his life, providing strength and hope to those around him. Ralph’s life will be celebrated on March 17, 2026, at St. Mary’s Church. A service will be held at 1:30 PM, where family and friends will gather to honor a remarkable man who touched so many lives with his kindness, humor, and unyielding love. As we bid farewell to Ralph, we remember him not with sorrow, but with gratitude for the countless memories and the enduring legacy he leaves behind. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his love will continue to inspire us all. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of one’s choice, in honor of Ralph’s generous and compassionate spirit. May Ralph Cornwell rest in eternal peace, his soul forever cradled in the love of those who knew and cherished him.
