Ralph's life was a tapestry of cherished moments and meaningful accomplishments. In 1956, he answered the call to serve his country, joining the United States Army Reserves. For six years, until 1962, Ralph dedicated himself to the values of honor and bravery, earning an honorable discharge that spoke volumes of his dedication and character.
Family was the cornerstone of Ralph's life, and he was a devoted father to seven children: Pam Copenhaver, Bret Copenhaver, Dawn Copenhaver, Randy Copenhaver, Susan Copenhaver, Michael Chieffo, and Robert Chieffo. His legacy of love and wisdom extended to 15 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of Ralph's spirit and values into the future.
Ralph was blessed to find love twice in his life. He was first married to Patricia Murdock, sharing years of partnership and family growth. In 1994, he found the love of his life, Linda Copenhaver, with whom he shared 32 wonderful years of marriage. Their union was one of profound companionship, laughter, and mutual respect, a testament to the power of love to nurture and sustain.
Ralph's life was also one of service and dedication beyond his family and military commitments. While the details of his professional life remain personal, his impact on those around him was evident in the lives he touched and the communities he served.
