He is predeceased by his loving parents, who undoubtedly greeted him with open arms as he returned to their embrace. Rafael leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He is survived by his devoted wife, Gloria, with whom he shared an extraordinary 58 years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with joy, creating treasured memories on countless family vacations and embracing the simple pleasures of maintaining their home and pool. Their partnership was a testament to enduring love and shared laughter. Rafael's pride and joy were his children, Ralph and Melissa, who carry forward his spirit and values. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Sofia, Nicole, and Andrew, who brought immense joy and pride to his life. Though he leaves behind no great-grandchildren, the stories and memories he crafted will be passed down through generations. A man of intellect and dedication, Rafael pursued an associate degree in engineering, a field where he would make a lasting impact. He honorably served his country in the Army for five years, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to service. His professional journey led him to a fulfilling career as a computer engineer with Hitachi Data Systems, where his talents and hard work were valued and respected. Rafael was a man of faith, actively participating in the community at Saint Gregory Barbarigo Church, where he found spiritual fulfillment and camaraderie. Those who knew him will fondly remember his quick wit and humor, his ability to make those around him smile, and his outgoing personality that lit up every room he entered. In his leisure time, Rafael enjoyed the serenity of maintaining his home and pool and treasured moments spent with his family. His adventurous spirit took him and his loved ones on many vacations, each trip a chapter in the story of a life well-lived. As we gather to celebrate Rafael's life, let us remember the laughter he shared, the kindness he showed, and the love he gave so freely.
