In loving memory of Raelynn Meredith Stephenson, a remarkable soul whose warmth and compassion touched the lives of many. Born on June 11, 1978, in Hollywood, Florida, Raelynn lived a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to her family and community until her untimely passing on April 22, 2026, due to complications following an auto accident. Raelynn was the beloved daughter of the late Richard William Guthrie Sr. and Deborah Lynne Cox. She shared her incredible zest for life with her older brother Richard Guthrie Jr., whom she adored, and his wife Stacey. Raelynn was also a cherished aunt to her nephews Tyler, Christian, Jesse, Danny, her niece Rebecca, and six great-nephews and nieces. Her family was her pride and joy, and she found immense happiness in watching them grow and thrive. On August 24, 2008, Raelynn married the love of her life, Alexander Phillip Stephenson, in a beautiful ceremony in Laguna Beach, California. Together, they welcomed their daughter, Taylor Rachelle Stephenson, who was the light of Raelynn's life. Alexander and Raelynn shared a love story that inspired those around them, and their partnership was a testament to enduring love and mutual respect. Raelynn's academic journey took her from Medford High School, where she graduated in 1996, to the University of Southern California, where she earned a degree in social work in 2001. Her career as a social worker and youth counselor at the California Autism Foundation was marked by her deep commitment to helping others. Raelynn possessed a unique ability to connect with those in need, offering solace and guidance with a gentle touch and a kind heart. After marrying Alexander, Raelynn chose to dedicate herself to her role as a mother, wife, and homemaker. Her home was a sanctuary of love and laughter, where she cultivated a warm and nurturing environment. She was an avid gardener, whose blooms were a reflection of her vibrant spirit, and an enthusiastic reader, especially of historical romance novels. Raelynn cherished traveling with her family, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Raelynn was renowned for her infectious sense of humor, often sharing jokes that left everyone in stitches. She had an innate ability to make friends wherever she went, never meeting a stranger, and she held a steadfast belief in seeing the good in everyone. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds, and she never spoke a harsh word about anyone. Preceded in death by her devoted husband, Alexander, her parents, and her nephew, Christopher Michael Guthrie, Raelynn leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and joy. She will be remembered for her unwavering strength, her boundless love for her family, and her ability to bring light into the lives of those around her. Raelynn's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her daughter Taylor, her brother Richard, and all of those who knew and loved her. A celebration of Raelynn's life will be held in the coming days, where family and friends will gather to honor the remarkable woman she was. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the California Autism Foundation, in Raelynn's memory, to continue her legacy of compassion and support for others.
