It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raelynn Amber Stephenson, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, who left us on April 22, 2026, due to complications from an auto accident. Born on June 11, 1978, in Hollywood, Florida, Raelynn's life was a tapestry woven with love, compassion, and dedication to those she cherished. Raelynn was a beacon of light who touched the hearts of many with her warmth and generosity. She was the cherished daughter of the late Richard W. Guthrie, Sr. and Deborah Lynne Cox. Preceding her in death were her devoted husband, John Elliott Stephenson, and her beloved nephew, Christopher William Guthrie. Her departure leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of her surviving family members: her treasured daughter, Taylor Brianne Stephenson, her loving brother, Richard William Guthrie Jr., and his wife Stacey. She also leaves behind her nephews Tyler, Christian, Jesse, and Danny, her niece Rebekah, and six great-nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory dear. Raelynn's educational journey began at Medford High School in Oregon, where she graduated with the class of 1996. Her passion for helping others guided her to the University of Southern California, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work in 2006. With a heart full of empathy, she dedicated her professional career to the California Autism Foundation, where she worked tirelessly as a social worker, advocating for those in need until she relocated to Washington State to support her husband's career. Raelynn's life was a testament to the power of love and compassion. She married the love of her life, John Elliott Stephenson, on June 21, 2024. Together, they shared a beautiful life until his untimely passing. Raelynn was a devoted mother to Taylor, and her love for her daughter was the cornerstone of her existence. She found immense joy in family gatherings, where her laughter and nurturing spirit were ever-present. A woman of simple pleasures, Raelynn found tranquility in gardening, where she nurtured life with the same care she gave to her family and friends. She was an avid baker, finding delight in sharing her sweet creations with those she loved. Her serene walks at sunset by the river were moments she cherished, a reflection of her appreciation for the beauty of the world around her. Raelynn's life, though cut short, was filled with moments of joy and love that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew her. Her legacy is one of kindness, compassion, and unwavering love—a testament to a life well-lived. A private celebration of Raelynn's life will be held with close family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the California Autism Foundation, continuing her legacy of support and advocacy for those who need it most. Though she has departed from this world, Raelynn Amber Stephenson's spirit will forever remain with us, guiding us as we strive to emulate the love and kindness she so effortlessly shared.
