Quintavis Styles

August 8, 1996 — September 29, 2026

Quintavis had a deep love for fishing, community service, and, above all, his family. His journey was one marked by determination, leadership, service, and an unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. He graduated from Gateway High School in Aurora, Colorado, where he distinguished himself as an exceptional football player, earning national recognition for his athletic talent. He continued his football career at Oklahoma Panhandle State University before ultimately enrolling at the University of Northern Colorado, where he completed his degree while also playing semi-professional football. In December 2019, Quintavis proudly earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Sports and Exercise Science. During his time at the University of Northern Colorado, Quintavis fulfilled a lifelong dream by becoming a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated. His commitment to brotherhood, scholarship, and service reflected the very principles by which he lived. Becoming a Sigma man was more than an achievement; it was a meaningful part of his identity and his lifelong dedication to serving others. Quintavis carried that commitment into his professional life, working in youth programming and community outreach. He organized enriching experiences for young people, from providing free haircuts to taking groups of children skiing, ensuring they had opportunities to experience life beyond their immediate circumstances. He also worked in several schools, supporting students with special needs, and coached youth football teams throughout Colorado. Whether in the classroom, on the field, or within the community, Quintavis understood the importance of showing up for young people and helping them recognize their own potential. His passion for education and public service eventually brought him back to Albany, Georgia, where he earned his Master of Public Administration degree from Albany State University. During his time there, he served as President of the Public Administration Student Government, continuing to demonstrate the leadership, dedication, and commitment to service that defined him. Following graduation, Quintavis returned to Colorado, where he worked with the Colorado State Legislature, developing community engagement strategies and contributing to legislative efforts involving criminal justice and juvenile justice reform. His work reflected his belief that meaningful change begins with giving people a voice and creating opportunities for future generations. Most recently, Quintavis returned to Gainesville High School, where he had the opportunity to coach alongside the same coach who had once guided him during his own high school football career. He served as the offensive coordinator for the junior varsity program, an assistant coach for the varsity team, and a substitute teacher. Having just been hired as a full-time teacher, Quintavis was entering another chapter of his life dedicated to education, mentorship, and shaping young minds. Quintavis was a humble, principled, and proud man whose laughter could brighten any room and bring a smile to anyone fortunate enough to know him. He had a way of lifting those around him, offering encouragement, guidance, and support without hesitation. He believed deeply in using his voice to change the world, inspiring others through his actions, and setting an example for his family, his students, and the countless young people who looked up to him. His life was a testament to the power of education, brotherhood, service, and perseverance. Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made will continue through the lives he touched, the young people he mentored, the students he encouraged, the players he coached, and the family and friends who loved him. Quintavis leaves behind a legacy of love, leadership, laughter, and service that will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed by his family, his brothers of Phi Beta Sigma, his players, students, friends, coaches, colleagues, and the many lives he touched along the way. At just 30 years old, Quintavis “Biggie” Styles leaves behind a legacy far greater than the years he was given. His life was not measured by how long he lived, but by how deeply he loved, how generously he served, and how many lives he inspired. He will be welcomed into eternal rest by his beloved grandmothers, Norine Styles-Dublin and Yvonne Rawls-Anderson, and his brother, Tavis Griffin.
