It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Quinn Anthony Banks, who departed this world on May 24, 2026, at the age of 65. Born on January 6, 1961, in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, Quinn was a beloved son, brother, father, and friend whose warmth and resilience touched the lives of many. Quinn was the cherished son of the late Marshall and Carolyn Banks. He was predeceased by his loving sister, Bridgette Marshell Banks, and dear nephew, Quentin Lavell Banks, alongside a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who welcomed him into eternity. Although their absence leaves us yearning, we find solace in the sweet reunion they now share. Quinn's legacy of love and laughter continues through his surviving family: his devoted son, Kedrick Williams, and daughter-in-law, LaToshia; his steadfast brother, Bryant Banks, and sister-in-law, Kaferia; and his nephews, Jamal and Jarrett Banks, along with Jarrett's wife, Danielle. He is also survived by his beloved aunt, Velma Watkins, and his special friend and former wife, Janice Whittle. A tapestry of cousins, nieces, and nephews remain to cherish his memory and carry forward his spirit. Educated at Booker T. Washington High School, Quinn was known for his industrious nature and unwavering work ethic. Throughout his career as a concrete worker, laborer, and construction worker, he built not only structures but also lasting friendships and a reputation for dedication and integrity. His hands were the tools of his trade, and through them, he helped shape the world around him in ways both seen and unseen. Beyond his professional life, Quinn found joy in simple pleasures. An avid fisherman, he was enchanted by the sport from the moment he caught his first fish, and he relished the peaceful moments spent by the water. Equally, he enjoyed the thrill and camaraderie found at the casino, where he shared laughter and stories with friends old and new. Quinn's life will be celebrated on June 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Professional Funeral Service, located at 1449 N. Claiborne Ave., New Orleans, LA 70116. It is here that family and friends will gather to honor his memory, share stories, and find comfort in the community he so passionately loved. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff at West Jeff and University Hospital of New Orleans for their compassionate care and unwavering support during Quinn's medical stay. Their kindness will not be forgotten. In remembering Quinn, we recall a man whose life was a testament to resilience, love, and the enduring strength of family bonds. Though he has left this earthly realm, his legacy will endure in the hearts and lives of all who were blessed to know him. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
