In Loving Memory of Preston Scott Clinton With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Preston Scott Clinton, who left this world far too soon on February 15, 2026, at the tender age of 22. Born on February 11, 2004, in Lansing, Michigan, Preston was a beacon of light and love, whose short life touched many in ways that will be cherished forever. Preston was the cherished son of Becky Michael and the late Scott Rillema, who passed away in December. He was preceded in death by his father, Scott, and his dear grandfather, Wesley Gild. Preston is survived by his loving mother, Becky, his devoted fiancée, Anna Mills, who he became engaged to in December 2025, and his many siblings: Nathan, Josh, Trey, David, Avi, Justyn, Faith, Jayla, Aubie, Vo'cean, Kari, and Estelle. Preston was a proud graduate of Tri-unity Christian School in 2022 and was pursuing his dream of becoming a middle school teacher at Saginaw Valley Community College. His dedication to education and his passion for nurturing young minds were evident in everything he did, and he was on the path to making a significant impact in the lives of future generations. Those who knew Preston remember him as an avid fisherman, never missing an opening day, and a passionate hunter. His love for the great outdoors was matched only by his love for his family and his profound commitment to helping others. Preston had an innate ability to make those around him feel seen and valued, with a warm smile that could brighten even the darkest of days. He was the friend who always checked in, ensuring the well-being of those he held dear. Preston's heart was as vast as it was kind. He poured himself into every relationship, leaving a legacy of compassion and love. His absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, yet his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. A service to honor and celebrate Preston’s life will be held on February 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Bannan Funeral Home, located at 222 S 2nd Ave, Alpena, MI 49707. Family, friends, and all whose lives he touched are invited to join us in remembrance of the joy and warmth he brought to this world. As we gather to say goodbye, let us also celebrate the beautiful soul that Preston was—a loving son, a devoted partner, a caring sibling, and a treasured friend.
