Born on April 22, 1954, in the serene village of Nukunuku, Nuku’alofa, Tonga, Pilolevu graced the world with a spirit of kindness, grace, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community.
Pilolevu was the cherished daughter of the late Mafile’o Ta’ufunga-‘O-Tonga Puta and Sione Makapa Mafi. Her parents, who predeceased her—Mafile’o Si’i Puta in 2001 and Sione Makapa Mafi in 1994—instilled in her a deep love for her Tongan heritage and a strong sense of family values. These values were the cornerstone of her life.
Throughout her journey, Pilolevu was a beacon of light and warmth, known for her gentle demeanor and compassionate heart. She was a woman of remarkable strength, whose life was a testament to resilience and humility.
