Pilolevu was the cherished daughter of the late Mafile’o Ta’ufunga-‘O-Tonga Puta and Sione Makapa Mafi. Her parents, who predeceased her—Mafile’o Si’i Puta in 2001 and Sione Makapa Mafi in 1994—instilled in her a deep love for her Tongan heritage and a strong sense of family values.
