Pierce Thomas Walker

January 8, 2013 — July 4, 2026

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Pierce Thomas Walker, who left us far too soon on July 4, 2026, at the tender age of 13. Born on January 8, 2013, in Stilwell, Kansas, Pierce was a beacon of light and joy to all who knew him. Pierce was a vivacious and spirited young boy, whose smile could light up any room. He was known for his boundless energy, insatiable curiosity, and a heart full of kindness. From a young age, Pierce displayed a remarkable passion for the great outdoors, often seen exploring the woods near his home or playing sports with his brothers and sister. His love for adventure was matched only by his deep appreciation for his family, with whom he shared countless cherished memories. He was a beloved son to Garret Walker and Lori Ward, and a cherished stepson to Jennifer Walker and Jeff Ward. Pierce was a devoted brother to William, John, Jackson, and Abigail, with whom he shared a special bond that transcended sibling rivalry and was grounded in mutual love, respect, and admiration. Pierce's grandparents held a special place in his heart. He is survived by his grandmothers, Patricia Whitney and Kaye Walker, and his paternal grandfather, Ronald Walker. He also shared a close relationship with his step-grandmothers, Janice Ward and Dianne Clark, and his step-grandfathers, Larry Ward and Gary Clark. Though predeceased by his grandfather, Charles Whitney Jr., and great-grandmothers, Katherine Walker and Phyllis Dale, Pierce carried their love and memories with him every day. Despite his tender age, Pierce made a lasting impact on his community, friends, and family. His teachers often spoke of his inquisitiveness and eagerness to learn, while his friends treasured his loyalty and infectious laughter. Pierce's life, though brief, was filled with love, laughter, and a spirit that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. In honor of Pierce's life and his love for nature and community, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to local children's charities or community organizations that support youth outdoor activities. Pierce Thomas Walker will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and in the countless lives he touched along the way. May we all find comfort in the memories of his bright smile and the joy he brought into our lives.

In lieu of flowers, the family of Pierce Thomas Walker welcomes donations to a charity, nonprofit, church, or organization of your choosing.
