Phyllis M. Pottillo

Phyllis M. Pottillo was born on January 16, 1947, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Inez and Howard D. Wyman Sr. She departed this life on September 4, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved her deeply and a lifetime of memories that will forever be cherished. Phyllis was a woman of strong faith, generosity, warmth, and deep devotion to her family. Phyllis was educated in Baltimore, attending St. Frances School and later St. James Business School. She devoted more than forty years of service to the Social Security Administration, where she built a long and dedicated career. Her Catholic faith was an important part of her life. Throughout the years, she worshiped at St. Alphonsus, the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, and St. Thomas More. Her faith remained a source of strength and comfort throughout her life. Phyllis knew how to enjoy life. She loved attending jazz festivals, dancing, traveling, enjoying good food, and spending time with her friends. But nothing meant more to her than her family. The time spent together, the laughter, the conversations, and the memories they created were among the things she treasured most. Phyllis leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Patrick and Christopher; her grandchildren, Christopher Jr., Chloe, Autumn, Camille, Chase, Maria, and Camden; her great-grandchildren, Novia and Noah; along with extended family and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Ingrid Haynie and Howard D. Wyman Jr. Her family will remember her not simply for the years she lived, but for how fully she lived them, how generously she gave, and how deeply she loved. The memories, the laughter, and all the good times shared with Phyllis will remain in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest in eternal peace.
