January 19, 1940 — May 1, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound respect that we announce the passing of Phyllis Jean Bebb (Post), who left this world peacefully on May 1, 2026, after a courageous and enduring battle with kidney disease. A cherished soul, Phyllis was born on January 19, 1940, in the small, tight-knit community of Logan, Kansas, a place that always held a special corner in her heart. Phyllis was the beloved daughter of Carl Kermit Post and Irma Rosalee Horn, who preceded her in death, along with her in-laws, Lee Bebb and Ella May Bebb (Henry), her brother Carl Leroy Post, her half-sister Carolyn Jeanette Baxter (Post), her dear daughter Julie Jean Bebb, daughter-in-law Bonnie Colleen Bebb (Tascheresu), and her devoted husband of nearly 40 years, Carl Leroy Bebb. Together, Phyllis and Carl were a testament to enduring love and partnership, having married on May 7, 1961, in Logan, Kansas. Their journey together took them to Colorado Springs in 1973, and eventually to a serene 15-acre property in Peyton, Colorado, where they built a beautiful life surrounded by family. A graduate of Logan High School, Phyllis carried with her the values and friendships formed in those early years, which continued to influence her life. Her greatest passion and unwavering devotion, however, were reserved for her family. She was the proud and loving mother to three children: Chris Lee Bebb, Kimberly Jeanette Bebb, and Tina Kae Allen (Marty Allen). Her nurturing spirit and steadfast guidance were a beacon to her children and to the large family she and Carl built together. Phyllis's legacy is reflected in her six grandchildren—Christopher James Bebb, Tabitha Lynn Schleiker (Mike Schleiker), Tanya Lea Bebb, Samantha Jean Murphy (Josh Murphy), Carl Joseph Bebb (Karisa Bebb), and Michael Leroy Bebb—and her fourteen great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy and laughter into her life. She also leaves behind her brother-in-laws, James Bebb (Ruth Bebb), Dale Baxter (Carolyn Baxter) nieces nephews and numerous cousins, each of whom were touched by her kindness and warmth. Phyllis loved nothing more than to be surrounded by her family, a sentiment that she carried with grace and generosity throughout her life. Her home was always open, a haven filled with laughter, love, and the comforting aroma of her kitchen, where countless memories were made. Her presence was a steadying force, a gentle reminder of the power of love and community. Though Phyllis has departed from this world, her spirit lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. She leaves behind a tapestry of memories woven with compassion, strength, and unwavering love. In honoring her wishes, a celebration of life will be held to celebrate her remarkable life and the indelible mark she has left on all who knew her, later this summer. In this time of sorrow, we find solace in knowing that Phyllis's journey was one filled with love, and that she now rests in peace, reunited with those she loved so dearly. Her legacy is a living testament to the power of family, and she will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
