Born on May 20, 1989, in the vibrant community of Protea Glen, Soweto, Johannesburg, Phumulani's journey through life was marked by resilience, love, and an unyielding spirit. Phumulani grew up in Soweto, Zola 1, where he was surrounded by the warmth and support of his loving family. He was the cherished son of Jabulile Hlatshwayo, who remained a steadfast presence in his life. He was also the beloved brother to four brothers, Innocent, Siphamandla, Nkosinathi, and Samkelo, and four sisters, Ndende, Lungile, Nqobile, and Thabile. His family extended further to his two precious nieces, Siphesihle and Sinegugu, who brought joy to his life. Phumulani's circle of love included his dear friends Shaun, Mpho, Njabulo, and Ncamsile, who stood by him through life's trials and triumphs. Phumulani's educational journey began at Riboni Primary School, continued at Itemogelo Combined School and Thulani Combined School, and culminated with his matriculation from Litare High School. He was remembered by his teachers and peers as a bright student with an inquisitive mind and a kind heart. In his professional life, Phumulani was a dedicated employee at New Heliva. There, he was admired for his diligence, integrity, and the respect he showed to everyone he encountered. His colleagues speak of him as a man who worked not just to earn a living but to uplift and inspire those around him. The echoes of Phumulani's laughter and the warmth of his kindness will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. He was a man who cherished family and friendship, dedicating his time and energy to those he loved. Even in the face of illness, which he battled with extraordinary courage and grace, Phumulani remained a beacon of strength and hope. Phumulani's life was touched by deep sorrow with the passing of his beloved daughter, Asanda. He now joins her in eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
