It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Petrolia Susie Manson, a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, who peacefully departed this life on September 18, 2026, at the hospice. Born on February 19, 1954, in Macon, Georgia, Petrolia was the cherished daughter of Raymond and Victoria Howard.
From a young age, Petrolia demonstrated a nurturing soul and a caring spirit that touched the lives of everyone around her. A proud graduate of Northeast High School, she was an exemplary student who carried her passion for learning throughout her life. Her love for reading the Bible was a testament to her faith, and she found immense joy in cooking and spending precious time with her family.
Petrolia was a devoted member of the New Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, where she actively participated in various initiatives and events that exemplified her commitment to helping others. Her community and congregation knew her as a beacon of hope and support, always ready to give all she had to uplift those in need.
She is predeceased by her sister, Mary Alice Howard, and is survived by her loving husband, Willie Manson Jr., her brother, Raymond Howard, and a large, loving family, including ten grandchildren who were the light of her life.
Petrolia's family will hold a private funeral ceremony to honor her memory and celebrate her remarkable life.
Petrolia Susie Manson's legacy of love, warmth, and generosity will forever remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
