Petrana Diane Howard

November 5, 1953 — September 19, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Petrana Diane Howard, known affectionately as "Aunt Trina (Naynee)", on September 19, 2026. Born on November 5, 1953, in Huntsville, Alabama, Trina lived a life full of love, devotion, and service to others. She was the beloved daughter of Milton and Neva Stewart, both of whom preceded her in death. Trina's life was a testament to the power of love and family. She was married to the late Larry Howard for twenty-seven wonderful years, during which they built a family rooted in faith and compassion. She is survived by her cherished son, Michael Howard, and his wife, Felicia. Also, her nephew, Coy Williams, and his loving companion, Crystal, whom she loved as her own children. Her legacy continues through her granddaughter, Makayla Williams, and one great-grandchild, Adelynn Williams, who will carry forward the values she instilled in them. A dedicated caregiver, Trina spent many years working both as a server and in the medical field, always answering the call to help and serve others. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her immediate family, as she embraced her siblings and their children as her own, offering them guidance and support. Trina was predeceased by her parents, Milton and Neva; her brothers, Patrick, Gregory "Monkey," and Michael "Milkman" Stewart; and her sisters, Shelia Williams and Lisa Haney. She also mourned the loss of her granddaughter, Mia Howard. She is survived by her loving brother Tommy Stewart and his wife, Shelia. Also, Aunt Trina is survived by many, many nieces and nephews, and their wonderful children. Trina was a proud member of the Southern Baptist Church, where her faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She found joy in cooking for her family, filling their home with warmth and delicious meals. Music was her solace, and she often sang to lift her spirit and those around her. Her son, Michael, extends his deepest gratitude to everyone who visited Trina before and after her hospitalization. He was obligated to stay in Florida and work to pay for her arrangements. However, Michael is grateful and honored to have made that sacrifice for his mother. The love and support she received from us all through the years are a true reflection of the love of Jesus she held dear. Thank you again to everyone who visited her and her sister while they were alive and well! Trina will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her strength, kindness, and unwavering love have left an indelible mark on the world, and her legacy of faith and family will endure for generations to come.
