Pete was the beloved son of the late Pete Montoya and Deluvina J Montoya, who predeceased him. From a young age, he was known for his infectious laughter and unyielding spirit, qualities that would guide him through life's journey. A proud graduate of Del Norte High School's Class of 1992, Pete carried the lessons of his formative years into a career that he not only excelled in but truly loved.
Pete found his calling as a maintenance technician, where his talent for working with his hands shone brightly. He approached each day with enthusiasm and a genuine love for his work, earning the admiration and respect of his colleagues and friends. His skilled hands were not only adept at repairing and maintaining, but also at building bonds with those around him.
Though Pete was not married, his life was richly blessed by the presence of his children, Monique and Richard Montoya, who survive him. To them, he was the embodiment of love, humor, and steadfast support. Pete's legacy lives on in the lives of Monique and Richard, who carry forward his spirit of generosity and his passion for helping others.
A service to honor Pete's life will be held on March 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It will be a time to celebrate the joy he brought into the world and the countless lives he touched along the way.
