It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Perry Lee Lacy Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who departed this life on March 23, 2026, at the age of 77. Perry passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born on May 6, 1948, in Forest, Mississippi, Perry was the cherished son of Mattie L. Johnson and Johnny Lacy. He was eldest brother to 2 sisters Vera Bland and Vivian McKeither and 2 brothers Johnny Earl Lacy and Raymond Johnson Jr. His early years in Mississippi were marked by a deep appreciation for family values and the simple joys of life, which he carried with him throughout his journey. In 1976, Perry meets Pat, and together they embarked on a journey that would span five decades. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. Perry was blessed with six wonderful children: Terry, Nicole, Perry Jr., Cedric, Le`Andre`, and Justin. Perry's children were his pride and joy, and he dedicated his life to providing them with a foundation of love, strength, and resilience. Perry's career as a chef at the Stardust Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, spanned over 20 years. Known for his culinary skills and warm demeanor, he was a cherished member of the team, delighting guests with his flavorful creations. His passion for cooking extended beyond the professional kitchen; he loved to barbecue and often hosted gatherings that brought family and friends together, creating delicious meals that were as memorable as the company. Beyond his professional achievements, Perry was a man of many passions. An avid fisherman, he found peace and solace by the water, casting his line with patience and hope. He also had a green thumb, nurturing his love for landscaping by transforming gardens into vibrant sanctuaries of beauty and tranquility. Perry was rarely seen without a smile as he rode around in his beloved truck, affectionately known as "Mr. P's Toy," exploring new places and gathering stories to share. Family was the cornerstone of Perry's life. He leaves behind a legacy through his 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish the lessons, stories, and love he imparted. His presence will be dearly missed at family gatherings, where his laughter and wisdom were constants. Perry's departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit will continue to inspire and guide. His unwavering love, kindness, and generosity touched the lives of many, and his memory will be cherished by all who were fortunate to know him.
