Perry J. Miller
March 30, 1950 — April 16, 2026
With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the peaceful passing of Perry J. Miller on April 16, 2026, after a brief illness. Born on March 30, 1950, in Streator, Illinois, Perry spent 76 beautiful years enriching the lives of those around her with her kindness, creativity, and unwavering love.
Perry was the beloved daughter of Richard and MaryLou Frye, who predeceased her and now welcome her with open arms in the hereafter. She was a proud graduate of Richwoods High School in Peoria, Illinois, where she laid the foundations of a life filled with learning, crafting, and community.
Perry is survived by her devoted husband, Roger, with whom she shared a remarkable 56 years of marriage. Their love story is one of enduring partnership and mutual respect, an inspiration to all who knew them. Together, they built a family grounded in love and laughter, cherishing each moment with their children, Timothy (married to Erika) and Les Ann Holland. Perry relished her role as a grandmother and was endlessly proud of her grandchildren, Christy and Isabella, who brought immense joy and light into her life.
A woman of many talents, Perry was an avid seamstress and quilter, her nimble fingers weaving warmth and comfort into every stitch. Her creations were not merely fabric and thread, but works of art that told stories of dedication and love. Perry's passion for golf saw her claim victory as the Troy Country Club Women's Golf Champion in 2003—a testament to her skill, determination, and competitive spirit. Her love for the game was matched only by the joy she found in sharing it with friends and family.
Perry's legacy is one of generosity, creativity, and an enduring spirit that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her family invites friends and loved ones to join in a celebration of her life on July 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The service will be a time to honor Perry's remarkable journey and cherish the lasting impact she had on all who were fortunate enough to be part of her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Perry's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her spirit of giving and compassion.
Perry J. Miller leaves behind a world that is less bright for her absence but infinitely richer for the time she spent within it. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
