It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Percy Leshey Brown Jr., who departed this world on March 31, 2026, at the tender age of 17. Born on August 8, 2008, in the scenic city of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, Percy was a vibrant soul whose warmth and kindness left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. Percy's life, though brief, was rich with love and laughter. He was a beloved son to his predeceased parents, Michael and Aaliyah Rivera, and a cherished sibling to his predeceased brother and two sisters. Percy was also a devoted father, and though his time with his daughter was tragically short, his love for her was immeasurable. A proud graduate of Paschal High School in Fort Worth, Texas, class of 2023, Percy was eagerly anticipating the next chapter of his life as he awaited college admission. Enthusiastic and full of potential, he approached life with an infectious zest that inspired those around him. Percy's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. An avid gamer, he found joy in the virtual realms where he could explore and create. His talent in the kitchen was evident in his love for baking, where he often delighted friends and family with his culinary creations. Percy found peace walking trails, appreciating the beauty of nature, and enjoyed working out, which was a testament to his dedication and discipline. Movie outings were another favorite pastime, where he would immerse himself in stories that took him to different worlds. Above all, Percy was known for his kind heart and his remarkable ability to make people smile. His gentle spirit and compassionate nature were a beacon of light to everyone he met. In moments of joy and in times of difficulty, Percy had an unwavering ability to lift the spirits of those around him, leaving an indelible mark on their lives. Percy’s journey was tragically cut short due to a motor vehicle collision in Fort Worth, Texas. Though his physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. A service to celebrate Percy’s life will be held on April 14, 2026, at 2:30 PM at the Church of Our Lady of Mercies de Las Mercedes, located at F4F6+GM5, C. Mercedes, Santo Domingo 10210, Dominican Republic. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Percy are invited to join in honoring his memory and celebrating the beautiful life he lived.
